Airtable is looking for its first Head of Procurement to build and scale the procurement function in a rapidly growing technology company. This role requires experience across a broad range of procurement activities including sourcing, contracts, supplier management and procure-to-pay processes. The candidate should be able to work collaboratively across stakeholders including buying organizations, legal and finance teams and be comfortable working in a fast-paced and high growth environment. You will report to our Head of Finance Operations.

What you'll do

• Build and scale a world-class global procurement function to support company growth, driving efficient growth while managing risk.
• Partner across the business to develop and execute strategies for all spend categories.
• Design and implement procurement and sourcing processes and procedures, driving controls, visibility and efficiency.
• Educate business partners and stakeholders on the sourcing processes as well as the value that the procurement team can and will deliver.
• Manage, rationalize and create relationships with the supplier base.
• Lead and set strategy for supplier contract negotiations.
• Ensure that benefits from the strategic sourcing process are sustained and extended during the period of the contracts through ongoing improvement strategies and initiatives including post sourcing.
• Build strong relationships with key stakeholders including legal, finance and internal business partners.

Who you are

• Accomplished and seasoned professional with 8+ years of procurement experience, inclusive of Professional Services, SaaS/Software, IT / technology, Cloud computing categories.
• Top-class negotiation skills.
• Mastery of procurement tools, techniques and processes (knowledge of Workday, Zip, Productiv, Airtable is a plus).
• Working knowledge of Accounting and Finance processes and requirements.
• Strong leadership, internal and external relationship building and communication skills.
• Ability to build a brand for procurement in the company and drive change.
• Excellent partnering, communication, and project management skills in leading sourcing initiatives.
• Deep knowledge of a range of spend categories and ability to quickly master new areas.
• Transparent in dealings and a reputation for honesty and integrity.
• Highly motivated with the ability to work in a rapidly changing environment.

Compensation awarded to successful candidates will vary based on their work location, relevant skills and experience. The base salary range for this role is $196,000-$294,000 for work locations in San Francisco, Mountain View, Seattle, NYC and LA. The base salary range for this role is $176,000-264,000 for all other work locations including remote.
