Artera is seeking a skilled front-end leaning Senior Software Engineer to join one of our dynamic product teams in Hungary! This team is focused on building patient preferences and overall consent. As a product-led organization, we value engineers who are passionate about the products they create and the impact they have on users.
In this role, you will be responsible for building features, solving complex problems, and designing robust solutions. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and collaborate with Product, QA, DevOps, as well as other teams. Our Stack: React and Redux, Node, Typescript, Express, Nest, Postgres, AWS

Responsibilities

  • Technical Expertise: Utilize TypeScript and React to develop and maintain scalable web applications
  • Initiative and Problem-Solving: Identify improvement areas and solve complex challenges with innovative solutions.
  • Curiosity and Learning: Stay updated with industry trends and engage in continuous learning to bring fresh ideas to the team.
  • Accountability: Own your work and its impact, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality features and fixes.
  • Communication: Clearly communicate technical concepts and project updates, fostering open dialogue within the team.
  • Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and successful delivery of features as well as contributing to our Engineering roadmap.
  • Feedback and Mentorship: Provide feedback and support your teammates’ growth, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Product-Minded Approach: Understand the product and its users, focusing on building valuable features aligned with product goals.
  • Motivation and Passion: Demonstrate enthusiasm for building impactful software, inspiring the team with your commitment.
  • Continuous Improvement: Seek and implement best practices to enhance productivity and product quality.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of software development experience building enterprise-level web applications and services that handle high traffic and scale effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems
  • Proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript or a relevant object-oriented language.
  • Production experience with React
  • Strong understanding of algorithms and data structures
  • Solid knowledge of design patterns
  • Commitment to testing best practices
  • Strong English communication skills

Bonus

  • Cloud knowledge, ideally AWS
  • Microservice architecture
LOCATION
Our company HQ is in Santa Barbara, CA, USA, but we are growing our team based out of our Budapest office. We are looking for candidates that currently live in and are eligible to work in Hungary. This position will be required to come into our office in Budapest based on a limited schedule determined by the team you join.
