Staris.ai is seeking a highly skilled Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our growing engineering team. You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining systems that support reliable, secure, and efficient software delivery. Your expertise in container orchestration, release strategies, and infrastructure automation will play a critical role in supporting our engineering teams and ensuring our customers experience scalable solutions and high availability.
Key Responsibilities- Architect and maintain robust CI/CD infrastructure for high-availability systems supporting both SaaS and on-prem deployments.
- Develop and implement automated container deployment and release strategies using the latest frameworks and technologies
- Monitor and improve system performance, reliability, and scalability
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure software is designed for observability, reliability, and scalability
- Drive incident response and postmortem processes with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Define and track service level objectives (SLOs) and indicators (SLIs) for production systems.
- 5+ years of professional experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or related roles
- Strong familiarity with common container release strategies (blue/green, canary, rolling updates)
- Working knowledge of core technologies including Amazon Web Services, Kubernetes, Docker, GitHub and Playwright
- Proficiency in one or more of the following programming languages: Python, Go, or Typescript
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, source control systems, and change control strategies (e.g., Git)
- Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills
- Previous experience designing or implementing infrastructure as code environments and production software release systems.
- Working knowledge of the following products or similar technologies:
- Hashicorp Vault (vaulting and secrets management)
- Dagger.io (modern CI/CD workflows)
- Temporal (workflow orchestration)
- Envoy (service proxy and observability)
- Sentry.io (monitoring and alerting)
- Experience operating services in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure)
