  • 25 million+ paid memberships on Patreon today.

We're continuing to invest heavily in building the best creator platform with the best team in the creator economy and are looking for a Strategy and Operations Manager, Creator Growth Program (Contractor) to support our mission.

This role is based in New York or San Francisco and open to those who are able to be in-office 2 days per week on a hybrid work model. This is a contract position, with the potential to convert to full-time depending on company priorities.

About the Team

This role sits on the Scaled Creator team under the GTM org — focused on growing and supporting Patreon’s Small and Medium sized creators. You’ll join a diverse team of marketers, operators and program managers. You’ll report to the Head of Scaled Creators.

About the Role

We’re seeking a Strategy & Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day execution and growth of a critical creator growth program at Patreon. This role is first and foremost about strategic thinking and operational excellence — ensuring that a complex, cross-functional program runs smoothly, achieves measurable outcomes, and evolves with creator needs.

You’ll manage multiple workstreams, set and track goals, and drive alignment across design, copywriting, lifecycle marketing, and product teams. You’ll also bring a creative eye to problem-solving and communications, ensuring campaigns are not only well-run but also resonate with creators.

  • Own the strategy and operations of a critical creator growth program, from planning and execution to measurement and optimization.

  • Drive cross-functional project management, aligning design, copywriting, marketing, lifecycle, and product stakeholders to deliver campaigns on time and at high quality.

  • Analyze program performance and develop clear reporting that informs strategy, surfaces insights, and drives data-backed decision making.

  • Maintain operational excellence by creating and enforcing strong systems, documentation, and processes that keep workstreams efficient and transparent.

  • Problem-solve and pivot quickly when challenges arise, bringing structured thinking and creative solutions to drive engagement and behavior change.

  • Support marketing and lifecycle efforts through light copywriting and editorializing when needed, ensuring creator-facing content is polished and effective.

  • Collaborate with product partners to integrate feature rollouts into program strategy and share creator feedback.

About You

  • 3–6 years of experience in strategy, operations, program management, or similar cross-functional roles.

  • Demonstrated strategic thinking: ability to connect data, insights, and business goals into actionable plans.

  • Proven operational excellence: highly organized, systems-driven, and skilled at managing multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Strong analytical skills; able to interpret performance data and translate into strategy.

  • Excellent communication skills — both written and verbal — with the ability to influence and align cross-functional partners.

  • Comfortable working under pressure and adapting in a fast-paced environment.

  • Creative problem-solver who balances structure with innovation.

  • Bonus: experience with product teams, or prior work in marketing/creator economy.

Patreon operates under a hybrid work model, where employees based in office locations are expected to come into the office two days per week, excluding sick time and paid leave. At Patreon, we believe in fair and transparent pay. In compliance with New York and California pay transparency laws, we are sharing the expected salary range for this role.

The posted salary range is dependent on the location and the level. This range may encompass multiple levels within the role’s job family. The final offer will be based on candidate’s experience, skills, competencies, and geographic location, aligning with the appropriate job level within Patreon’s leveling framework. For remote employees located outside CA and NY, salary may vary based on location and local market conditions.
