In 2019, Founder Zach Bell created a no-code website over a long weekend to make his two places available to a small circle of friends. His friends asked if they could add their homes and one thing led to another and that Squarespace site ended up on the cover of the travel section of NYT.

Thousands of folks started reaching out to see if they could access the site to share their homes with their own friends. At that moment we realized that many more people would make their houses available to their friends if they didn't have to offer them as public rentals. By connecting friends and private groups.

We know that sharing can change the world becuase it's real magic. Regardless of what you have, when you share you have more.

• Your design skills and talent will be focused primarily on our existing website / web app as well as building native iOS applications.
• Your skills will mainly be focussed on both concepting and producing the creative assets required by our developers for the product(s) but may also be needed for support on other design tasks #startup
• You are confident working with all types of stakeholders both internal and external, including but not limited to our founders, the marketing and community teams as well as users, to create project architecture documents including Sitemaps, Workflows, Schematics, Wireframes that will inform the products’ eventual design.
• You understand and have worked in an agile team environment and know how to translate user stories into beautiful and functional designs
• Your creativity will be a source of inspiration internally and externally, always overachieving and driving the MyPlace benchmark for quality.
• You will collaborate with our development team to deliver projects and ensure your vision is carried through to final product launch and QA.

• Has 4+ years of experience acting in a creative, Product Design role.
• Ideally has experience working on early stage products and being part of a growing organization and team.
• Possesses an exceptional portfolio of shipped products, containing examples of highly usable and beautiful software that solves problems you can effectively articulate.
• Has read Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines or Google’s Material Guidelines thoroughly enough to spot when something’s out of place, and when to break the mold.
• Has strong abilities with Figma, Adobe Creative suite and standard industry leading creative tools.
• Has experience in some of the following areas: CRM, team workflow, activity feeds, visualizations/BI/analytics, native iOS mobile, amplitude, email design, and responsive web.
• Is exceptionally detailed with excellent oral and visual communication skills.
