What is Customer Success? A Customer Success Manager is like your site supervisor who stays on after the job is won - making sure the client is using what you built the right way, solving issues before they become problems, and keeping the relationship strong so they hire you again for the next job.
As Mercator’s first Customer Success hire, you’ll play a critical role in directly supporting our customers while helping shape the foundation of our customer success function. You’ll be hands-on with customers, while also partnering internally to refine processes, resources, and playbooks as we scale. You’ll collaborate closely with Sales, Product, and Engineering to deliver an outstanding customer experience and ensure Mercator.ai customers realize the full value of our platform.

- Organized and proactive, with a sharp attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple customer relationships at once.
- Creative, systems-oriented thinker who thrives in fast-paced, evolving environments.
- Comfortable building workflows from scratch, solving problems on the fly, and using technology to drive scalable business solutions.
- 2-5 years of experience in business development in the construction space or in client-facing roles.
What You’ll Tackle
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customer accounts, building trusted relationships from day one.
- Onboard new customers and ensure they quickly adopt and gain value from the product.
- Guide customers through their full lifecycle—from onboarding to renewal and expansion.
- Identify opportunities to deepen engagement and maximize customer value with Mercator.
- Partner with Sales to support renewal and expansion efforts.
- Attend in-person events and visit client sites as needed (primarily in Texas).
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering to relay customer feedback, troubleshoot issues, and influence roadmap priorities.
- Build and improve customer success processes, playbooks, and tools as we scale—leveraging technologies like HubSpot and evaluating new ones.
- Monitor customer health and proactively address risks to long-term success.
