We are looking for a domain expert as a Computer Vision Engineer to join our team and lead the development and integration of advanced vision systems into real-world industrial applications. This role requires expertise in industrial machine vision systems, networking, Linux, IoT and real-time operating system.

Travel: Up to 25% (Client Sites, Industrial Facilities, Tech Conferences)

Role & Responsibilities

• Vision System Development: Design, integrate, and deploy AI-powered vision solutions in manufacturing, robotics, and industrial automation.
• Camera & Lighting Integration: Work with external vision systems, including industrial cameras, 2D line scan/area scan cameras, 3D profilers, optical configuration, and lighting, ensuring seamless data acquisition and processing.
• Edge & Cloud Deployment: Develop and optimize AI models for on-device processing (Edge AI) and cloud-based inference.
• Operating System & Networking: Configure Linux-based vision processing units, IoT gateways, and networked edge devices for real-time AI processing.
• IoT & Connectivity: Implement camera protocols (GigE and RTSP/ONVIF) and communication protocols (Modbus, CANBus, MQTT) for secure and reliable data exchange between vision systems and industrial equipment.
• Performance Optimization: Enhance system performance by fine-tuning latency, throughput, and AI model efficiency on embedded and cloud platforms.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with AI researchers, embedded engineers, and cloud architects to ensure optimal integration and deployment of AI-powered vision solutions.
• Travel: Occasionally visit industrial facilities, research labs, and conferences to support deployments, conduct site assessments, and present technological advancements.

Must-Have

• Strong expertise in computer vision – experience with OpenCV, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or other computer vision frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with industrial/external vision systems, including GigE cameras, 3D scanners and profilers, 2D line scan/area scan cameras, optical configuration, and lighting.
• Deep understanding of Linux-based operating systems, real-time processing, and embedded AI computing.
• Proficiency in IoT and industrial networking protocols (MQTT, OPC UA, Modbus, Ethernet/IP).
• Knowledge of hardware acceleration for vision processing (CUDA, OpenVINO, TensorRT).
• Experience deploying AI models on edge devices (NVIDIA Jetson, ARM Cortex, FPGA-based vision processors).
• Strong programming skills in Python, C++, or Rust, with experience optimizing AI pipelines for real-time performance.
• Ability to troubleshoot and optimize system performance in industrial environments.

Nice-to-Have

• Experience with robotics vision systems and autonomous vehicle perception stacks.
• Familiarity with cloud AI deployment (AWS, Azure, GCP) and IoT platforms.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices for industrial IoT and vision systems.
• Experience working with PLCs, industrial automation controllers, and factory integration systems.
• BIG PLUS: DevOps experience, IoT/industrial protocols, hardware accelerations and AI deployment
