Job Summary

The Financial Analyst plays a main role in financial modeling, reporting, and analysis, contributing to the company's strategic financial decision-making processes. As a key member of our dynamic finance team, the ideal candidate will transform complex financial data into actionable insights that drive business growth and operational efficiency.

What You'll Do:

  • Develops comprehensive financial models, including updating historical financials, P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow projections, with detailed sub-models for bookings, churn, and headcount planning.
  • Conducts cash flow modeling by leveraging inputs from financial models, budgeting discussions, and cross-departmental collaboration to create dynamic forecasts of future cash positions with the ability to adjust for multiple scenarios.
  • Leads the budgeting process by creating and analyzing department budgets, manipulating raw financial details into reviewable formats, and conducting monthly budget review meetings with department owners.
  • Performs ad-hoc financial modeling, including SaaS metrics analysis, KPI tracking, scenario modeling for fundraising and debt options, and addressing department-specific financial requests.
  • Supports additional financial responsibilities, including commission structure review, insurance management coordination with the legal team, bank account management, and comprehensive expense review and approval.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Preferred Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, or related roles, ideally in a startup, tech, or high-growth environment.
  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling (P&L, cash flow forecasting, budgeting, scenario planning).
  • Solid understanding of financial statements, business operations, and key financial metrics (KPIs).
  • Experience with budgeting, expense management, and financial reporting processes in cross-functional environments.
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Experience with Netsuite and Financial planning software a plus
  • Experience with SQL and data visualization software a plus

The anticipated salary range for candidates who will work in our Playa Vista, California location is $95,000 - $135,000. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will depend on several factors, which may include, but are not limited to, the type and length of experience applicable to the role and within the industry, education, geographic location, etc. Commercial Real Estate Exchange, Inc (“Crexi”) is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.
