Key Responsibilities:
- Create and implement a comprehensive sales plan tailored to the SLED market within your assigned region, aligned with company goals.
- Lead, mentor, and coach Account Executives or sales reps focused on state, local government, and educational institutions.
- Identify high-impact opportunities, expand existing accounts, and meet or exceed regional revenue targets.
- Establish and maintain trusted relationships with key decision-makers, procurement officers, and administrators.
- Understand and guide the team through RFPs, RFIs, contract vehicles (e.g., NASPO, GSA), and public sector compliance requirements.
- Work closely with marketing, legal, finance, sales ops, and product teams to support regional initiatives and deal execution.
- Provide reliable forecasts, track pipeline health, and report on key performance indicators using CRM tools like Salesforce.
- Assist reps in structuring deals that align with public sector regulations and ensure mutual value for the customer and company.
- Attend SLED conferences, networking events, and industry forums to build brand awareness and develop strategic connections.
- Monitor changes in policy, funding, and technology adoption across the SLED sector to stay ahead of market shifts.
Minimum Qualifications:
- In Business, Public Administration, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven success in enterprise or public sector sales, ideally with 3+ years in a leadership or management role.
- Strong understanding of the state, local government, and education market, including procurement cycles and funding models.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and grow high-performing sales teams in a regional capacity.
- Consistent history of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
- Familiarity with RFP/RFI processes, government contracts, cooperative purchasing agreements, and compliance requirements
- Able to influence senior-level stakeholders and clearly articulate value propositions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience with platforms like Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or similar tools for forecasting and pipeline management.
- Skilled in developing and executing go-to-market strategies specific to a geographic region or vertical.
- Open to regional travel for customer meetings, team support, and industry events.
