Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the entire sales process from lead generation through discovery, demo, negotiation, and closing.
  • Create a strategic plan for growing and managing accounts within the eastern U.S., aligned with regional goals.
  • Proactively identify and engage potential mid-market clients through outbound outreach and follow-up on inbound leads.
  • Deliver customized presentations that align with the specific needs and pain points of target customers.
  • Foster long-term partnerships by understanding client goals and becoming a trusted advisor throughout the sales cycle.
  • Work with sales engineers, marketing, customer success, and product teams to deliver a cohesive customer experience.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and activity tracking in CRM platforms such as Salesforce.
  • Lead pricing, contract, and procurement discussions to successfully close mid-market deals within the expected timeline.
  • Continuously research industry trends, competitive offerings, and emerging technologies relevant to your territory.
  • Consistently achieve or surpass sales goals and KPIs for revenue, pipeline growth, and account expansion.

Minimum Qualifications

  • In Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience.
  • Preferably in a mid-market or SaaS sales environment, with a proven track record of success.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to present clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience using tools like Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar platforms to manage pipeline and forecast accurately.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with consultative selling, solution selling, MEDDIC, SPIN, or similar approaches.
  • Ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously across a defined territory.
  • Comfortable handling a geographically distributed client base (e.g., Eastern U.S.) and planning accordingly.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with marketing, customer success, product, and sales engineering teams.
  • Open to occasional travel for client meetings, events, or onsite presentations within the region.
