We are a hybrid company with a focus on in-person collaboration when necessary. Employees are expected to be available to work from one of our office hubs at least two days per week, or eight days per month. Our US hub locations include: Austin, TX; New York City, NY; San Francisco, CA; and the Arlington, VA metro area. Please ensure you can realistically commit to this structure before applying. This position is open to a limited amount of exceptions for Remote work - these will be evaluated based on business need and not guaranteed.
About the Role:
We're seeking a Senior Reporting Analyst to own partner-facing analytics and reporting while building the processes for our data analytics function. You'll deliver actionable insights on license utilization, engagement, satisfaction, and performance metrics through both proactive reporting and a structured intake process.
This role requires strong systems thinking to understand how data flows across our ecosystem and how to synthesize information from multiple sources into cohesive narratives. You'll produce high-quality reports and dashboards while establishing frameworks for scalable analytics delivery, including leadership of offshore/BPO analyst resources. You should be comfortable leveraging AI and agentic workflows to accelerate analysis, identify patterns, and automate routine reporting.
What you’ll do:
Analytics Intake & Request Management
Serve as primary point of contact for analytics requests; triage, prioritize, and manage request queue
Document patterns to identify automation opportunities and leverage AI tools to accelerate scoping
Partner Analytics & Reporting
Design and deliver comprehensive reports on license utilization, engagement, satisfaction, and behavioral patterns
Analyze manager assessments (360-degree feedback, leadership development metrics) and coach feedback themes
Monitor support tickets and create actionable reports identifying systemic issues
Prepare templated Business Value Review (BVR) decks and execute custom ad-hoc analyses
Use AI-powered analytics to automatically surface anomalies and trends
Systems Thinking & Data Integration
Map data flows across analytics ecosystem (Looker, Vitally, Salesforce, support systems, survey platforms)
Understand metric relationships and synthesize disparate data sources into unified narratives
Translate complex, multi-system data relationships into clear visualizations
Identify opportunities for single sources of truth and eliminate conflicting data definitions
AI & Agentic Analytics Integration
Leverage AI tools to accelerate workflows from exploration to insight generation
Design agentic workflows where AI autonomously generates reports and surfaces insights
Establish validation processes for AI-generated analyses and partner with AI Engineer on enhancements
Train offshore analysts on effective AI tool usage and monitor outputs for quality
Team Structure & Offshore Analytics Enablement
Build frameworks for prioritizing requests and routing to appropriate resources (senior analyst, offshore team, AI-powered self-service, automated reporting)
Develop SOPs, templates, quality standards, and enablement programs for offshore/BPO analysts
Mentor offshore team and teach them to validate AI analyses and escalate appropriately
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with Data & Insights team on new models, dashboards, self-service tools, and AI-powered solutions
Contribute to data governance initiatives and optimize analytics processes with Operations Program Manager
If you have some or all of the following, please apply:
Required
7+ years in data analytics/business intelligence with progressive responsibility
Expert-level data visualization skills (Looker, Tableau, or Power BI required)
Strong Excel/Google Sheets proficiency (advanced functions, pivot tables, data modeling)
Demonstrated systems thinking: understanding data flows, metric interconnections, and multi-source synthesis
Experience with statistical analysis and comfortable working with AI tools as collaborative partners
Proven ability translating complex data into clear insights for non-technical audiences
Experience creating client-facing reports with strong attention to detail
Strong project management skills managing multiple priorities under deadlines
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Experience in request-driven environments and understanding data architecture/lineage
Preferred
Background in SaaS, HR tech, learning & development, or coaching/consulting
Experience managing offshore/distributed analytics teams
Knowledge of customer success metrics, Salesforce, and platforms like Vitally or Gainsight
Understanding of 360-degree feedback and talent development metrics
Experience with data governance frameworks, AI-powered analytics tools, and prompt engineering
Understanding of data integration patterns and ETL concepts
Technical Skills
Data Visualization: Looker (ideal), Tableau, Power BI, or similar
Analytics: Excel/Google Sheets (advanced), statistical analysis tools
AI/Automation: AI analytics tools, prompt engineering, agentic workflow design

At BetterUp, we compensate our employees fairly for their work. Base salary is determined by job-related experience, education/training, residence location, as well as market indicators. The range below is representative of base salary only and does not include equity, sales bonus plans (when applicable) and benefits. This range may be modified in the future.
The base salary range for this role is as follows:
$152,000 - $209,000: San Francisco Bay Area, New York City, and Seattle
$136,800-188,100: All other locations
