Position DescriptionArrive is looking for a Head of Engineering to take a leadership role in building the future of the Arrive Platform technology. Core responsibilities will involve carrying tasks through the full software delivery lifecycle from inception to production. Will also be responsible for helping to stand up new brand partners and will be required to work closely with key external stakeholders. To be successful in this role, you should be confident managing our teams while, at the same time, setting goals, budgets, and timelines for various projects. We also expect you to be in charge of our integrations with external partners and oversee all software development plans from ideation to execution. Additional responsibilities will include close collaboration with internal product and design teams to create truly bespoke experiences for our partners. What You’ll Do

• Manage a small team of developers, including an offshore team
• Work closely with sales and leadership teams on client scopings to ensure a seamless brand partnership
• Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables
• Advocate for software engineering best practices and principals
• Build robust and scalable web applications using C#
• Advocate for improvements to product quality, security, and performance
• Collaborating with the front-end developers and other team members to establish objectives and design more functional, cohesive codes to enhance the user experience
• Build out CI/CD pipelines and maintain our cloud architecture

Who You Are

• 7-10+ years of experience working in backend API development
• Familiarity with guiding small teams in a mentorship capacity
• Ability to communicate effectively with key stakeholders and brand partners to help plan for and achieve objectives
• Extensive experience in object-oriented programming -C#
• Experience designing and developing GraphQL APIs
• Experience building and scaling an E-Commerce and/or SaaS web application
• Ability to get things done on a small team with accountability and ownership environment

Nice To Have

• Experience with modern .NET (.NET Core 3+)
• Solid understanding of software testing strategies and practices (such as TDD)
• Previous experience working at a startup
• Familiarity with working with offshore development teams

Hours & LocationThis is a full-time position that is remote. Arrive is based in Los Angeles, and our team is currently working remotely across the United States. We work PST hours.
