We are seeking highly motivated and resourceful individuals to join the Financial Operations team and develop themselves professionally into problem solving powerhouses. What you'll do:

• Become a master of payment systems, reporting, and workflows
• Execute daily customer payment and activity monitoring and monthly account reconciliation processes
• Coordinate with vendors to investigate payment and reporting discrepancies, working them through to resolution
• Triage and investigate escalations with cross functional teams, vendors, and loan buyers
• Process payment distributions to loan buyers via ACH and wire, within service level agreement timeframes
• Manage timely disbursement of funds to originate ApplePie loans
• Work closely with the Loan Operations team to ensure accuracy of loan agreements and assist with loan closings
• Support the Accounting team with month-end close processes and reporting
• Identify process efficiency opportunities to help with speedier reconciliations and distributions to investors

What we're looking for:

• At least 3-5 years of professional experience in payment or financial operations
• Bachelor’s degree Finance, Accounting, Economics or related Business discipline
• Fintech startup experience is ideal for this role (specific payments experience a plus)
• A systems thinker who is obsessed with automating processes and reducing human involvement (including your own)
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability for what you're building. A desire to seek out what's broken and fix it
• Analytical and inquisitive mindset with keen attention to detail
• Team player who can problem solve and is able to work on a variety of projects simultaneously
• Nimbleness with Excel is a given
• A strong work ethic, enjoy getting your “hands dirty”, and excel in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to communicate cross functionally with colleagues who may not have your Fintech experience
