Remote

Memeland is looking for an exceptional artist to join our incredibly fast-paced, but yet exciting web3 team. You will be responsible for creating original and captivating artworks for our brand, our projects, and our communities. You will work closely with the product teams to produce high-quality NFTs, digital assets, graphics, and more. You will also collaborate with other artists and creators in the Memeland community to exchange ideas and feedback.

This position is a full-time and fully remote role based in the HK or similar time zone.

Responsibilities

• Create original, beautiful, compelling, and engaging characters and elements for Memeland.

• Be able to take ideas from rough sketches to polished finished pieces.

• Have high proficiency with concept art fundamentals such as composition, shape design, anatomy and proportion, color theory, and perspective.

• Be excited by and stay with the latest industry trends, emerging techniques, design best practices, and pop culture to continuously deliver high-quality of engaging characters and elements.

• Work within established art and design guidelines to ensure consistency.

• Utilize a variety of traditional and digital artistic techniques to produce high-quality illustrations.

• Collaborate closely with designers, and other stakeholders to understand project objectives and ensure artwork meets their expectations.

Requirements

• 2+ years of professional experience as an artist or illustrator.

• A strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of illustration styles, techniques, and high-quality work from past projects.

• Excellent skills in explaining your work, process, and decisions to cross-functional stakeholders and crave feedback to help you produce your best work.

• Obsess over details and are excited to push the boundaries of your skill set in art that excites and delights.

• Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment, take constructive feedback, and incorporate it into the work.

• Experience working on pixel art.

• Experience with graphic design.

• Experience with basic animation in After Effects is a plus.

• Breadth of knowledge and high skill level across industry software tools such as AfterEffects, Illustrator, Photoshop, Clip Studio, Aseprite, and Figma.

• Experience drawing environments is a plus.

• Excited to work on modern fashion and collectible products in addition to digital art.
